What was Spencer's view on the evolution of Society ?

Spencer's theory of social evolution holds that all societies change from simple to complex through natural processes. This led him to appose all forms of governmental control of social life.

Due to the logical similarities with Darwin's Theory of Evolution, Herbert Spencer's views on evolution of societies were known as social Darwinism.
