What will be the “one’s digit” in the square of the following numbers?

(i) 2345 (ii) 3456

Answer

(i) in 2346, the ending digit = 5

∵ 52 = 25

∴ (2345)2 will have as 5 as the one's digit


(ii) in 3456, the ending digit = 6

∵ (6)2 = 36

∴ (3456)2 will have as 6 as the one's digit
