Why does O3 act as a powerful oxidising agent?

Answer

O3 being endothermic compound readily decomposes on heating to give dioxygen or nascent oxygen.

O3 → O2 +O (nascent oxygen)

since nascent oxygen is very reactive therefore O act as powerful oxidising agent.
