What type of wave front is produced by: 

(i) Point source of light (ii) Line source of light

Answer

i) Point source of light: If the waves propagates in all direction then wavefront is spherical and radial line of rays obtained.

ii) Line source of light: For the linear light since, the wavefronts are cylindrical.
