Solution

Force acting due to the presence of electric field is $q \vec{E}$ .
Force acting because of the presence of magnetic field is $q (\vec{v} \times \vec{B})$ .
Thus, the net force is,
$\vec{F} = q \vec{E} + q (\vec{v} \times \vec{B})$

$\vec{F} = q (\vec{E} + \vec{v} \times \vec{B})$

which is called as the Lorentz force.
