(i) the distance covered; and
(ii) the displacement, when it reaches B.

 

Solution



i) The distance covered, 
  2 πr space equals space 2 space cross times straight pi cross times 5 space

space space space space space space space equals space 2 cross times 3.14 cross times 5 space

space space space space space space space equals space 31.4 space cm

(ii) The displacement = 2 × OB = 2 × 5 = 10 cm, along AB.
