India could not fully attain designed goals of development planning. India can take pride in achieving.
(i) Self-sufficiency in food.
(ii) Expanding diversifying and dispersing of its industrial base.
But it could not receive:
1. The objective of growth with equity.
2. The ate of increase of income has been lower then the target.
