Legislative Measures : As per Companies Act’s—

(a) Big companies may be required to specify social responsibilities in the Memorandum of Association.

(b) The trusteeship concept may be incorporated in the act so that workers, customers and the community may get a voice in the administration of big business.

(c) A provision may be made for “social audit” and “social report” of large corporations.

Voluntary Measures : Social responsibility can best be assumed in a free and competitive environment. Social checks and balances like shareholders associations, consumers advisory councils, public opinion groups etc. can help to create social consciousness on the part of business enterprise.
