What happens when
(i) Concentrated H2SO4 is added to calcium fluoride
(ii) SO3 is passed through water?

Solution

(i)When conc. H2SO4 is added to calcium fluoride,It forms hydrogen fluoride and calcium sulphate.

CaF2 + H2SO4→  CaSO4 + 2HF

(ii)When SO3 is dissolves in water. It produce Sulphuric acid(H2SO4)
SO3 + H2O→  H2SO4
