    The grandfather sees Toto tied up with a feeding-trough. It looked feeble and ill. The grandfather gets empathetic towards Toto and buys him from a Tonga-driver for five rupees. This way Toto comes to grandfather's private zoo.

    Once there was a large kettle of water on the fire to boil for tea. No one was present in the kitchen. Toto entered the kitchen. He got into the kettle because it was too cold outside and he wanted to enjoy a hot bath. Water was too hot that he kept on hopping up and down. Grandmother pulled him out almost half boiled.
