How is personal identity different from social identity?
Personal Identity: It refers to those attributes of a person that make him different from others, e.g., name, qualities, characteristics, beliefs, etc.
Social Identity: It refers to those aspects of a person that link him to a social or cultured group or are derived from it. e.g., when someone says that he is a Hindu or a Muslim he is trying to indicate his social identity.
