Here,
Tension in the string, T = 168 N
Mass of the monkey, m = 14 kg
∴ Putting the values in equation (1), we have
168 = 14 (9.8 + a)
a = 2.2 m/s2, is the maximum acceleration with which the monkey can climb along the rope.
