How does an Amoeba obtain its food?

Answer
Short Answer

The amoeba obtains its food by the process of endocytosis. The flexible cell membrane engulfs the particle with the help of it's pseudopodia and then forms a vacuole around it. When the food is trapped the amoeba secretes digestive enzymes which digest the food.
