  1. As per the Food Safety and Standard Regulations (fassi), 2011 a maximum of 70 ppm sulphur dioxide is allowed in the preparation of jaggery. 
  2. Prepared under unhygienic conditions.
  3. Made from insect infested /rotten sugarcane.
