On Teacher's Day, you read in a newspaper that privately owned and managed schools in small towns or even in the suburbs of metropolitan cities exploit their teachers by paying them just a fraction of their authorized salaries. This affects their performance in the classroom and thus the lives of their students. Write a letter in 120-150 words to the editor of a national daily raising your voice against such exploitation. Suggest ways to solve this problem. You are Navtej/Navita, 112 Taj Road, Agra.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Depreciation of faculties in small and private schools in town and sub-urban areas.
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to bring into public concern the devaluation of the teachers who are employed in private schools in towns and suburban areas. This issue was brought to light in another national daily that mentioned that the teachers employed in such schools are paid a fraction of their authorized salaries.
The performance of the teachers in such schools is profoundly affected. Such mismanagement demotivates the teachers and they start taking their responsibilities towards the school leniently. Also, the authorities in these schools don’t focus on hiring of the teachers who are actually suitable for the role. As they don’t offer a good salary, they don’t get job applicants who are suitably qualified for it. Moreover, the school authorities don’t pay these teachers the pay scale they were promised at the time of appointment. All these factors lead to frequent resignations and constant replacement and substitution in the faculty. The frequent replacement of the faculty in turn leads to unsystematic teaching methods resulting in deteriorating students' performances.
It must be noted the greatest wealth and strength of any nation is its youth. Such education system has a detrimental effect on our youth’s future. And, we cannot build a future for our students if we do not give due credit to our teachers. Therefore, I request your esteemed publication to take up this matter in order to generate public awareness towards the same.
