Why did the General spare the American soldier?
Dr. Sadao and his wife found a wounded American soldier. Though he was an enemy but the doctor and his wife operated and saved his life. He told the General for giving shelter to the enemy. He promised to get the soldier killed secretly but he failed in his promise. He could not take any action due to seriousness of his illness and forget all about him. Thus the General spared the life of the American soldier.
