Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry
Calculate the molecular mass of glucose (C6H12O6) molecule.
Molecular mass of glucose (C6H12O6) =Mass of carbon +mass of hydrogen +mass of oxygen
Mass of carbon =12.011amu
Mass of oxygen=16.00 amu
Mass of hydrogen=1.008 amu
= 6(12.011 amu) +12 (1.008 amu) + 6(16.00 amu)
= 72.066 amu + 12.096 amu + 96.00 amu
= 180.162 amu
