What would have happened if the greenhouse gases were totally missing in the earth's atmosphere ? Discuss.

The solar energy radiated back from earth surface is absorbed by the green- house gases (such on CO₂, CH₄, O₃, CFC’s and water vapour) present near the earth's surface. As a result, the green- house gases heat up the atmosphere near the earth surface and keep it warm (Global warming). Thus, they keep the temperature of the earth constant and permit the growth of plants and existence of life on the earth. On the other hand, in the absence of greenhouse gases, the vegetation and life on the earth have no meaning at all.
