State two basic differences between primary and secondary rainbows.

a) Primary rainbow is formed by the rays which undergo one total internal reflection and two times refractions before emerging finally from the water droplets.

Secondary rainbow is formed by the rays which have undergone two total internal reflections and two times refraction before emerging finally from the water droplets.

(b) Primary rainbow is more brighter than the secondary rainbow.
