For a transistor,

β = \frac{I_{C}}{I_{B}}

\Rightarrow

I_{B} = \frac{I_{C}}{β}

\Rightarrow

R_{i} = \frac{V_{i}}{I_{B}} = \frac{V_{i}}{I_{C}} β

i.e.,

R_{i} \propto \frac{I}{I_{c}}

Therefore, R_i depends upon collector current I_C.
