(a)    maximum frequency, and
(b)    minimum wavelength of X-rays produced by 30 kV electrons.

Here,
Voltage, V = 30 kV = 30 x 10
3V = 3 x 104

(a) Using the formula,
                         hvmax = eV

                           vmax = eVh        = 1.6 × 10-19×3 × 1046.63 × 10-34Hz 
                                 =7.24 × 1018 Hz 
is the required maximum frequency.

(b) Minimum wavelength of x-rays produced, 

                   λmin = cvmax          = 3 × 1087.24 × 1018m
               λmin = 0.414 × 10-10m        = 0.414 Å 

                         = 0.0414 nm.
