Wavelength of mercury light = 5.5 × 10^-5 cm

Frequency, $v = \frac{c}{λ} = \frac{3 \times 10^{8} m / s}{5.5 \times 10^{- 7} m}$

   $v = \frac{3 \times 10^{8}}{5.5 \times 10^{- 7} \times 10^{6}} MHz = 5.45 \times 10^{8} MHz .$

Time period,

$T = \frac{1}{v} = \frac{5.5 \times 10^{- 7}}{3 \times 10^{8} m / s} = \frac{5.5 \times 10^{- 7}}{3 \times 10^{8}} \times 10^{6} μs$

   $= 1.83 \times 10^{- 9} μs$
