Solution

Given,
Power dissipated in an a.c circuit, P = V_rmsI_rms cos $ϕ$
where, cos $ϕ = \frac{R}{Z}$ .

For an ideal capacitor, R = 0
$∴ cosϕ = \frac{R}{Z} = 0$

Therefore,
Power dissipated in circuit , P = 0
