V = 230 sin $(ωt + π / 2)$ and I = 10 sin $ωt$ ?

Solution

Phase different between V and I = $π / 2$

$∴$ $P_{av} = V_{eff} I_{eff} \cos ϕ$

$= V_{eff} . I_{eff} \cos \frac{π}{2} = 0$ $[∵ \cos \frac{π}{2} = 0]$
