What is the net power consumed over a full cycle?

Solution

Given,

$Resistance, R = 100 Ω Potential applied, V = 220 (e f f e c t i v e v o l t a g e V_{eff}) frequency, f = 50 Hz$

Since, $ω = 2 π f = 2 \times 3.14 \times 50 = 314$
Therefore,
Power consumed = Current x Voltage
= $I_{eff} \times V_{eff}$

= 2.2 x 200
= 484 watt.
