Solution

Given,
Inductance of the coil, L = 0.25 H
Voltage of the battery, E = 18 V
Rate of growth of current, dI/dt = ?

Using formula, $e = L \frac{dI}{dt}$

$\frac{dI}{dt} = \frac{e}{L} = \frac{18}{0.25} = 72 {As}^{- 1} .$
