E = $\frac{1}{2} {mv}^{2}$

E = $\frac{1}{2} \frac{m^{2} v^{2}}{m}$

E = $\frac{1}{2} \frac{p^{2}}{m}$

p² = 2ME

∴ p ∝ $\sqrt{E}$

∴ $\frac{p_{1}}{p_{2}} = \sqrt{\frac{E_{1}}{E_{2}}}$

∴ = $\sqrt{\frac{E}{E + 3 E}}$

$\frac{p_{1}}{p_{2}} = \frac{1}{2}$

⇒ p₂ = 2 p₁

% increase = $\frac{p_{2} - p_{1}}{p_{1}}$ × 100

⇒ $\frac{2 p_{1} - p_{1}}{p_{1}} \times 100$ = 100%
