Solution

Let two vectors $straight A with rightwards arrow on top space and space straight B with rightwards arrow on top$ of magnitude A and B be acting at angle $straight theta.$
We will find the magnitude of $straight A with rightwards arrow on top minus straight B with rightwards arrow on top.$
The vector $straight A with rightwards arrow on top minus straight B with rightwards arrow on top$ can be written as $left parenthesis straight A with rightwards arrow on top right parenthesis plus left parenthesis negative straight B with rightwards arrow on top right parenthesis comma$ .
Thus, $straight A with rightwards arrow on top minus straight B with rightwards arrow on top$ is equal to resultant of $straight A with rightwards arrow on top space and space minus straight B with rightwards arrow on top.$
