The common man has a distrust of statistics. This is so because it is possible to misuse statistics by deliberating twisting or manipulating data. That is why some people say that statistics is another form of lying. We find both the ruling and the opposition parties quote statistics to support and prove their point of view. So we must know where the facts are twisted or misused.
