Why thorny type of vegetation is found in Rajasthan? State two reasons.

The reasons:
(i) Rajasthan is an arid area which receive less than 75 cms of annual rainfall. This rainfall does not support dense forests.
(ii)The loss of moisture is also high due to transpiration as the region has high temperature. Trees have needle shaped thorns to prevent loss of moisture.
