Given,

Refractive index of water, n_{w} = \frac{4}{3} Refractive index of glass, n_{g} = \frac{3}{2}

Therefore,
Refractive index of glass with respect to water is,

n_{gw} = \frac{n_{g}}{n_{w}} = \frac{3 / 2}{4 / 3} = \frac{9}{8} .
