Define ampere (as rate of flow of charge).

Solution
Ampere: When one coulomb of charge flows through any section of a conductor in one second, then current through the conductor is said to be one ampere.

           1 ampere = 1 coulomb1 second i.e.,               1 A = 1 C1 s = 1 Cs-1

The smaller units of current are milliampere and microampere.

1 milliampere = 1 mA = 10–3 A
1 microampere = 1 μA = 10–6 A
