Methods to control water pollution :
(i) Avoid throwing of the garbage into rivers/ lakes. The rivers/lakes should be cleaned from time to time.
(ii) The sewage and the effluents must be treated before releasing them into water bodies. Strict laws should be implemented so that industries do not dispose the polluted water in the rivers or lakes directly.
