Question
CBSEENSC8006015

What is the angle of incidence of a ray if the reflected ray is at an angle of 90° to the incident ray?

Solution

Given, i + r = 90o

But, we know that

Angle of incidence = Angle of reflection

That is,               i = r

Therefore,

       i + i = 90o 2i = 90o i = 45o

So, the angle of incidence of the ray will be 45°.
