Constituents of Petroleum :
(i) Petrol, (ii) Paraffin wax, (iii) Diesel
Uses :
(i) Petrol : It is used as a motor fuel, aviation fuel. It is also used for dry cleaning.
(ii) Paraffin wax : It is used for making ointments, candles, vaseline etc.
(iii) Diesel : It is used as a fuel for heavy motor vehicles and electric generators.
Coal-tar is a mixture of various substances.
Kerosene is not a fossil fuel.
