$Projection of \vec{a} on \vec{b} is given by \frac{\vec{a} . \vec{b}}{|\vec{b}|} . . . . . . . (1) Given \vec{a} . \vec{b} = 8 and \vec{b} = 2 \hat{i} + 6 \hat{j} + 3 \hat{k} |\vec{b}| = \sqrt{4 + 36 + 9} = 7$

Substituting value in (i) we get

$Projection of \vec{a} on \vec{b} = \frac{8}{7}$
