Let assumed mean, A be 160
∴ d = x - A = 8, 2, 11, -7, -1, 5, -2, 4
$sum straight d equals 20$
∴ $top enclose straight x space space equals straight A plus fraction numerator sum straight d over denominator straight N end fraction equals 160 plus 20 over 8 equals 160 plus 2.5 space equals space 162.5$
