Solution
The 2 red and 3 black balls in the box are not given identical.
∴ We shall specify them as R1j, R2, Bj, B2, B3.
A coin is tossed. The sample space,
S1 = {H, T}
If a tail comes up, a ball is drawn from the box for which the sample space is :
S2 = {R|1, R2, B,1, B2, B3}
If a head comes up, we throw a die for which the sample space is :
S3 = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}
Hence, the combined sample space is :
S = {TR1,TR2,TB1,TB2,TB3, H1,H2, H3, H4, H5, H6}
