Solution

Let r be the radius of the circle,

From the given information, we have

$2 πr - r = 37 cm \Rightarrow r (2 π - 1) = 37 cm \Rightarrow r (2 x \frac{22}{7} - 1) = 37 cm \Rightarrow r x \frac{37}{7} = 37 cm \Rightarrow r = 7 cm ∴ Circumference of the circle = 2 πr = 2 x \frac{22}{7} x 7 cm = 44 cm$
