Part of apple eaten by Ritu = $\frac{3}{5}$

Part of apple eaten by Somu = 1 − Part of apple eaten by Ritu

= $1 - \frac{3}{5} = \frac{2}{5}$

Therefore, Somu ate $\frac{2}{5}$ part of the apple.

Since 3 > 2, Ritu had the larger share.

Difference between the 2 shares = $\frac{3}{5} - \frac{2}{5} = \frac{1}{5}$

Therefore, Ritu’s share is larger than the share of Somu by $\frac{1}{5}$ .
