Two cubes of side 6 cm each, are joined end to end. Find the surface area of the resulting cuboid.
Solution
For resulting cuboid Length (l) = 6 + 6 = 12 cm Breadth (b) = 6 cm Height (h) = 6 cm
∴ Surface area
= 2 (lb + bh + hl)
= 2(12 x6 + 6x6 + 6x 12)
= 360 cm2
