Express the linear equation 7 = 2x in the form ax + by + c = 0 and also write the values of a, b and c

Solution

7 = 2x
⇒ 2x – 7 = 0
⇒ 2x + 0y – 7 = 0
Comparing with ax + by + c = 0, we get
a = 2
b = 0
c = –7
