Solution
p(x) = x2 - 1, x = 1, - 1
p(1) = (1)2 - 1 = 1 - 1 = 0
p(-1) = (-1)2 - 1 = 1 - 1 = 0
∴ 1, - 1 are zeroes of p(x).
