The Editor,

Dear Sir,

Subject: The pernicious repercussions of tourism on Corbett National Park

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authority to the flagrant use of facilities by tourists and its ruinous impact on the environment in Corbett National Park.
The use of non-biodegradable plastic packets and wrappers not only litters the place but also pollutes the environment. Apart from that, the tourists use the natural resources available in the Park to the extent that disturbs the ecosystem. The improper use of trees of the forest for the fuel, litter and the pollution made by the tourists affects the serenity of the habitat. Moreover, the tourism intrudes the habitat of the fauna.
The Corbett National Park is one of the best natural destinations where the richest concentrations of animals come into sight. There must be strict regulations to create awareness in the public about the fact that tourism should not upset the ecosystem. I request you to kindly take up this issue immediately by your esteemed publication to generate further awareness.

Yours sincerely,
Navita
