First of all, they thought of throwing the American back in the sea. But they could not do so because the American was badly wounded and required immediate medical treatment. So they took him to the room of Sadao’s father. Hana washed the wounded and dirty soldier with warm water. Sadao immediately brought his surgeon’s emergency bag and opearted upon him. He pulled out the bullet from his wound and gave him the essential medical treatment.
