The make-up department of the Gemini Studios had people from different parts of India. In the beginning the department was headed by a Bengali who was succeeded by a Maharashtrian. He was assisted by Kannadiga from Dharwar and a man from Andhra. In addition to this, there were local Tamils, a Madras Indian Christian and an Anglo- Burmese. It presented a good scene of National Integration in India.
