Write a brief note on 'The North Atlantic Sea Route'.
The North Atlantic Sea Route:
(i) This route links North-eastern U.S.A. and North-western Europe, the two most developed regions of the world. These two continents safe surpassed in manufacturing, transportation and communication, trade and finance.
(ii) The foreign trade over this route is greater than that of the rest of the world combined, with the greatest volume between U.K. and U.S.A. One-fourth of the world’s foreign trade moves on this route.
(iii) It is, therefore, the busiest in the world and otherwise, called the Big Trunk Route. Textiles, chemicals, machinery, fertilizers, steel and wine are exported to U.S.A. and Canada; while wheat, wood pulp, copper, transport equipment and machinery moves towards Europe.
