Customer Advances : Sometimes manufacturers or suppliers of goods require the customers to make an advance before the delivery of goods. The customer advance represents a part of the goods ordered/booked by the customers to be supplied at a later date. This arrangement is used in case of products which are in short supply or which involve a waiting period for delivery e.g. automobiles.
