(a) The human testes are located outside the abdominal cavity in a pouch called scrotum. The scrotum helps in maintaining the low temperature of the testes (2 -2.5^o C lower than the normal internal body temperature) necessary for spermatogenesis.

(b) Honey bees are parthenogenetic organisms because in them an unfertilized egg develops into a new individual and there is no fertilization. This process of reproduction without fertilization is called parthenogenesis.
