Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune neuromuscular disease or congentital. It is caused by circulating antibodies that block acetylcholene receptors at the post-synaptic neuromuscular junction inhibiting the excitatory effects of acetyl choline and nicotinic receptors at neuromuscular junctions.
